Emma Wright, Office Manager

Emma grew up in Virginia, but after moving to North Carolina for college, she fell in love with Durham. She graduated from Duke in 2017 with a bachelors in Cultural Anthropology, and she plans to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Emma enjoys distance running and hiking, and she even took a semester off from college to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail! She plays Ultimate Frisbee and was captain of Swerve, the Duke Women’s club team. Emma is also the founder of Alta Trails, an organization dedicated to making backpacking accessible to women and girls. Emma manages all of the behind the scenes work at Upright Athlete, including processing insurance, billing, scheduling and much more.
